83 and still going strong, Lewis Gates could be the oldest playing-goalkeeper in hockey right now (as far as I know!). Great to see , and with a passion for the game that surpasses personal success, shows how sport can be more about the community and fellowship it brings, helping pass the baton on to the next generation of hockey players. Having seen a lot through his life time it's great to see how being part of the hockey family as been a sticking point to all he's gone through over the years. Hopefully we'll see more goalies who love the position as much as he does still going strong in years to come. What a inspiration for many!!
