Not new news (I have a better understanding of hockey in the South of England than North shamefully!) but looks like Durham's goalkeeper Blair Fotheringham switched to Whitley Bay and Tynemouth hockey club to get first team action not so long ago. Considering he was Scotland U18s and U21s I'd assumed he would challenge at a national league club, but is obviously not. However, getting action in the North Premier league is no bad idea, giving him the chance to experience the responsibilities and pressures of being the starter and aid in his development as they push for their own promotion to national league.
