Tom Pinnegar playing at Birmingham

Tom Pinnegar's story seems a bit like an over sensationalised or hyped (without sounding too cruel), if you go by the press he received after making it into the U21's side. He was supposed to be joining Cannock and reports were made that he would be well on his way to doing so, which seemed a strange move because of Cannock being sorted goalkeeper wise. With Cannock already sorted with James Fair and Patrick Smith as his deputy, both incumbents in their positions after displaying their potential, I don't see how he could have broken into the squad and 3rd choice is not what you want to be as a goalkeeper!

At the moment he's on the University of Birmingham squad list so assume he is with them (obviously!). I presume he has far to travel because Nottingham isn't exactly that close to Birmingham! Guess it's doable unless he has graduated from Trent but it seems quite the distance and commitment to be making, although he is getting vital game experience playing as a starter in the national league. At Trent he seemed to use mainly TK kit, with the obo hi control tube style rhp, much like Chris Rea (aside from the Obo helmet!).
