Very late - news - (not really news...) now, is the confirmation of England no 2 James Bailey moving to Wimbledon from Reading. Wimbledon look like they are strengthening their side with a few additions of outfield players coming in, and with Bailey signed on the dotted line, should be looking to push for European qualification even. It will be interesting to see how Reading fare without him, having brought in suitable replacements, as well as how Wimbledon man manage Tom Millington and James Bailey as both first team goalkeepers. What with Bailey's England commitments, it will be of interest to see how things pan out; whether a 1A or 1B goalkeeper rotation or not.
Comments aside, it is great to see English hockey having depth in goalkeepers finally, with strength in quality all over the shop this season. It is a luxury for clubs, as they can turn to two options to get the job done in goal (a la Courtois and 'the Special One'), but or the goalkeepers themselves is a bit of a pain to say the least (hard to get in a groove mentally to go on a winning streak and so on and so forth).
