2014/15 Now Pensions East league goalkeepers: Isaacs looking for a strong finish

Bromley is another club looking to learn from their performances last season and push ahead with fortitude to rise up the table. Going into his fourth season in the national league, and second with Brom & Beck (having spent two seasons with Havant), Andy Isaacs is sure to want to make his mark on the season, as well as earn some more appearances in the GB Super Leagues as a result, offering the side a reliable and consistent goalkeeper to base their team list on. Known for his 'sweeper keeper' abilities at this level, notably getting in the assist book last season against Brighton, bringing with him his unique style and kicking abilities that got him noticed whilst at Havant.

Goalkeepers:

  • Andy Isaacs (second season with the club)
  • Dave Taylor (now reserve choice playing 2's, but has years of national league experience should the club ever need to call on him - strongest option in the East goalkeeping depth on offer potentially)
Outgoings:

Predicted starter:

Again, no prediction necessary, with Andy being the clear first choice going into the new season. Has gotten a fair amount of clean sheets, taken his side to the Kent Cup final and counting, so has a lot of experience and maturity to build off, as he begins to reach his peak as a goalkeeper. Offering a more radical style to hockey, he adds the option for counter-active play, allowing his team an attacking option, going by the mantra of last line of defence, first line of attack, with aplomb!

Predicted season outcome:

With some changes and an improved pre-season, Bromley should really be able to challenge for a top three finish, and with Southgate out of the picture, and Old Loughts in transition, this would in their sighted targets for the season's outcome. Bromley are a side that interestingly seem to struggle with discipline issues which have affected their performances. Unable to stay level headed, this could cost them, but if like Indian Gym they challenge this feistyness, can go on to great heights.
