EHL winners/losers predictions

Not particularly goalkeeper related but they will have an influence on the final results (how they perform will!) that change things at the last hurdle! With the final games this week and crucial points up for grabs, I may as well put my predictions down and then see what happens afterwards! For the Premier league, Beeston have already won the title so no need there, but for relegation I think Southgate will still hang on above Brooklands and end up in the playoffs for another year, using their experience to get through again potentially (will leave that for when the playoffs happen!). In the East, it'll be a battle to the final seconds between Wimbledon and Holcombe, but I think with Holcombe's goals for and their recent form, feel they'll make the most of the opportunity to get through to the playoffs as I can't see them wasting the opportunity! For demotion it's a tough one as Richmond and Cambridge are sort of level pegging and Bromley not that far off with two points ahead (don't think they'll beat Oxted).

For the West, it's Cardiff's if they win on Sunday because no-one can catch them (Exeter are a point behind). Plus Cardiff are facing off against Exter in a winner takes all really!! For relegation, Firebrands are automatically going back down and Cheltenham have a better goal difference assured versus rivals on the same points, Whitchurch. For the North, Sheffield could win the league, if they get a win on both days (as they should beat Preston in their game-in-hand), otherwise it's Bowdon's for the taking. For relegation in that division, should probably be Preston and Doncaster unless Doncaster take points and other fixtures favour them.

Predictions:

Prem
Relegation: Brooklands automatic, Playoffs: Southgate

East
Winners: Holcombe
Relegation: Peterborough automatic (think Richmond will be looking for the crucial win) Playoffs: Richmond

West
Winners: Cardiff
Relegation: Bristol Firebrands (automatic) Playoffs: Whitchurch

North
Winners: I'll say Sheffield!
Relegation: Preston (automatic) Playoffs: Doncaster
