Beeston best offensive (scoring!) record but no clean sheet!

One interesting fact of the EHL season is that table topping Beeston with their current 12 point lead (it was 15!), they still have not registered a clean sheet. Normally this would suggest that their defence is not worried about the score line (in the sense that they have such a strong lead to defend versus a close game!). And that's in no way to be interpreted as an insult! It's just a style of play. A lot of teams can defend well, but they can't score. And you can't win without scoring, which they're doing very well at (except against Hampstead their bogey team and other results!).

A 'run and gun' style of play like the Edmonton Oilers in the 80s (random sports trivia, ice hockey related!) meant goalie Grant Fuhr used to have to get used to breakaways and odd man rushes. So, in a sense, (I haven't seen Beeston play this season or ever in person I don't think!) this is what Pinner may be playing with as his team are always pushing high looking to score. Although I doubt it!

Ultimately, clean sheets are awesome but a win is a win!
