Surbiton are one of the only sides to effectively see no (major) changes to their goalkeeping department in the pre-season transfer window. In David Kettle they have a strong starter with obvious talent (and great potential still for the international setup), who has come in and solved their previous goalkeeping crisis, with Surbiton regularly changing their goalkeepers each season up until David's arrival. Not only does this show how much trust Surbiton place in their starter, matched by his performances that have taken them into Euro Hockey League contention.
Goalkeepers:
Outgoing - Paul Reeves leaves for Old Georgians who are looking for promotion out of South Prem
Predicted starter:
Again, not at all predicted, but again for the sake of continuation... Kettle is going to be , bar injury or the end of the world and so on. Coming into the season off the back of a Commonwealth Games appearance, Ketts will be eager to cut his teeth on the season and get stuck in as he looks to continue his run of strong performances in order to keep Surbiton in contention at the top of the league.
Predicted outcome:
Surbiton should obviously do well this season, and I can see them having a strong finish. With Todd at the helm in the coaching department (who has openly praised how great he feels Kettle is for the team), tactical wisdom should see the squad come out on top for the vast majority of their games this season.
