It shows how rubbish my awareness of the international game is when you find out something about a year after it has already happened! Ok so I'm only in England but I don't that matters if you're trying to get international coverage of hockey and goalkeepers!
Le Roux has played a season at Den Bosch in the Hoofdklasse last year. I know Chris Hibbert has played in the English national league, as has David Staniforth, but to be honest, I haven't heard of a South African goalkeeper playing in Holland. It's quite a feat and hopefully something that can continue, reflecting the quality of players produced by South Africa's system (there are a lot of outfielders that come over to the British Isles as well!).
