So, as mentioned previously, Gowen looks to be the second choice for the South African men's team. And a team shot shows an interesting sighting. Looks like he's wearing the Reebok 5/6k elbow pads along with Obo foam. Considering I haven't seen too many goalkeepers outside the English leagues wearing Reebok's pads for elbow protection, interesting to see them growing in popularity in other nations: an interesting but obviously trivial sighting!
