A blog for and about hockey goalkeepers and goalkeeping, trying to expand their coverage, given what a niche market it is! Was a little disappointed that there is nothing like this around so thought I'd have a bash at remedying that! Written with a slightly Gonzo journalistic approach. Thoughts and analysis of the elite. All opinions are my own; can't be bothered with anyone else's after all!

Reuss starts for Germany
Felix Reuss, who plays for Uhlenhorst Mulheim and has been gaining useful experience at the elite level for club in the Bundesliga and also in the Euro Hockey League, started for Germany in their loss to England at the Champions Trophy. It seems Tim Jessulat, who was previously the reserve choice behind Weinhold has fallen down the pecking order, with Reuss and Jacobi being the choices for Germany in this tournament. Only 21, Reuss is the youngest goalkeeper alongside Patrick Smith (but has started a game unlike Smith) at the tournament and could be a potential Olympian, with lots of talent going forward for future selection.
