Macieja Pacanowskiego to Chichester

The rumours were abound that Poland's star young talent in goal would be joining new members of the East conference division of the national league, and now (with my belated reporting), it's official! Joining from Polish side Rogowo, he's the first Polish men's goalkeeper to play in the English national league system that I know of, which is pretty unique and quite an achievement in itself. I know Matuszak was the first Polish international goalie to play in the Dutch Hoofdklasse and it's interesting to see in a wider sense Poland getting noted for its goalkeeping depth and attracting interest.

With his performances against Australia giving his team a fighting chance and his maturity for a young age, Chichester have pulled off a steal of a signing. It will be interesting to see how Macieja adjusts to the language barrier, the defensive systems in play (both on his team and the attacking style of the English national league), but he's sure to grow in stature and help Chichester push for a higher place in the league in this upcoming season. Definitely one to watch!
