2014/15 Now Pensions East league goalkeepers: new signing Williams looking to make an impression at Teddington

Teddington have recruited well during the off-season to bring in graduate Adam Williams. Williams coming in from Durham (link) presumably moving down south to work in London, will provide ample support for the team as they look to sort out their goalkeeping woes. Having had Joe Morgan deputise in the absence of Alex Chapman last season, the Middlesex side do have options to turn to should needs require, but the goalkeeping merry-go-round should have effectively stopped this pre-season. With a young but experienced goalkeeper in between the sticks, they should be more than capable of climbing the table this season.

Williams in action against Oxted.

Goalkeepers:

  • Adam Williams (joining from Durham University)
  • Joe Morgan (deputised last season, playing 2's)
Outgoings: Alex Chapman deregistered

Incoming: Adam Williams after graduating from Durham

Predicted starter:

Williams is pretty much expected to grab the opportunity by the horns and run with it. Having competed regularly in competitive level BUCS games and the national league conference North, he has a lot to build from starting his first season in the East division this season.

Season outcome:

Tightening up their side tactically and building off previous season experiences, Teddington could do well for themselves, taking advantage of the standard of the league with other teams weakening. Williams and his experience will definitely plug the gap and shore up their goalkeeping troubles as they move forward, so they should be looking to challenge for third or higher.
