Having worn the new Obo Hi Rebound RHP redesign (which has been altered for greater turn and movement at the wrist for saves when pushing out with the hand to block against the top right portion of goal), Scotland and Sheffield Hallam's starter Jamie Cachia is back wearing the new RHP design produced by Monarch. Although Monarch is now producing a more contoured glove like the Mercian RHP to help with getting the glove in contact with the pitch when diving and extending out with the right to block low, the first glove they produced for the D3O influenced GP01 range is proving popular with a fair amount of goalkeepers, including those at the elite level.
And Jamie looks to be one of the main proponents for its choice. He was seen wearing the glove early on in the season to kick off the new season away against East Grinstead (which at the time was in the main colour choice of black) and is now (as evidence in the link shows!) using the same glove but in a nice shiny blue colour to match the colour look he's going for! The design of the glove means it is easy to turn at the wrist; a great hybrid design that can be moved into an upright blocking position, or easily turned out or low to save in a down movement going low with a diving block, making it a great choice for goalkeepers who want to be able to do more than one thing with their save selections.
