Forrester and Somerville starting for Scotland

David Forrester and Gavin Somerville were both in action (and fine form as well!) for Scotland over the weekend of the 15th, so a fortnight ago, against Wales in some friendly games. Somerville obviously played for Kelburne and got some game time in the Euro Hockey League a few years back now, is at Western Wildcats now and back in contention, with this opportunity. Forrester has also played in the GB Super League previously and making the most of his deserved chance, too. This leaves things in a confusing state (as a watchman anyway!) goalkeeping wise for Scotland considering their immense depth if you think about it.

Fulton and Carr were called up for cover when their other options were injured a couple of years ago in the Champions Challenge Two competition (link) but have starters in the form of now-Premier-league-starter Cachia at Sheffield and Dick at Holcombe, along with former U21 star Alexander at Indian Gym and other options in the Scottish national league. Quite some challenge to choose who to pick. There's only one spot up for grabs when playing in goal after all!
