A blog for and about hockey goalkeepers and goalkeeping, trying to expand their coverage, given what a niche market it is! Was a little disappointed that there is nothing like this around so thought I'd have a bash at remedying that! Written with a slightly Gonzo journalistic approach. Thoughts and analysis of the elite. All opinions are my own; can't be bothered with anyone else's after all!

Weeks gets national league start with Havant
Having heard/read on the grapevine that Isaacs was out with an injury and wouldn't be making the game, I had assumed Aaron Hoare might have gotten the start against Whitchurch in Havant's final game of the season. But it turns out that other reserve goalkeeper Weeks got the start instead. I *think* Weeks used to be at Wimbledon and then moved to the Hampshire side in the season that Isaacs joined and the season Wimbledon had their first season in the national league, having being involved in the first team and playing a pre-season game against East Grinstead. If so, he has a set-up much like Isaacs (but wears Obo!) but considering how I can't work out Week's playing background from information provided, I seem like a failed journo! The 31 year old (I think he joins goalkeepers like Morgan and Cattermole in getting national league starts later in their playing careers, as mentioned previously) got the win regardless and helped Havant secure a mid-table finish.
