In another kit sighting, I'm not sure if Hinch is also wearing knee pads. As can be presumed from match photos (could be wrong!). Not sure how serious the injury was etc. They look to be like the ones worn by football goalkeepers for indoor games/futsal with more of a padding than foam style. Not sure about women's goalkeepers using knee protection, but in the EHL, Ben Shorten (used to play at Oxted) and Ben Cowling are goalkeepers who wore knee padding, mainly the volleyball type, presumably for added protection as they're both pretty tall and the pads were often not tall enough, leaving an exposed area for knocks.
