Mark Haycroft and Paul Reeves have been registered internally by the club to cover for Kettle if it was ever needed (although I don't that to be the case as some premier league teams have often carried only one goalkeeper for a season or half, like HWHC). Haycroft was at the University of Birmingham previously who are in national league west, so is probably the closest to Kettle in terms of ability, as far as I am aware. Now the squad has three goalkeepers registered, with Kettle now firmly established as first choice this makes for interesting thought as Surbiton was often a merry-go-round for goalkeepers, so perhaps they have finally settled on Kettle as their projected first choice for the next however many seasons! That would be great for both parties but if Kettle continues his rise and pushes for GB inclusion, they may need a better second choice!
