Potunuri wearing new Mercian mask?

Watching the highlights of the Champions Trophy, I noticed India's first choice Potunuri wearing an altogether different helmet that I hadn't seen before. Rumours are going around that Mercian are in the stages of creating a new helmet and the design is definitely not the same as Obo's, with a smaller chin and wider profile for the helmet. On closer inspection, Potunuri's helmet does say Mercian Hockey across it. Not sure why he would have access to it or be allowed to wear it if they weren't happy with the free advertising. Strange!
