Blaak starts for Holland

Pirmin Blaak got his first start of the tournament against Belgium in a tight, end to end affair, which was close right until the end. This is obviously valuable match experience at full international level and opens up questions as to how Holland will manage having two star goalkeepers and allow for their development and progression over the long term. Not all countries have that depth!

Bazeley and Charter split halves in the game against Pakistan, with Bazeley making a key save and his opposite number Butt making a strong save diving to his left and stopping a deft lob attempt. Vanasch conceded a flick using the back of his stick in an attempt to clear the ball away on a rebound scoring chance.
