A blog for and about hockey goalkeepers and goalkeeping, trying to expand their coverage, given what a niche market it is! Was a little disappointed that there is nothing like this around so thought I'd have a bash at remedying that! Written with a slightly Gonzo journalistic approach. Thoughts and analysis of the elite. All opinions are my own; can't be bothered with anyone else's after all!

McGregor's departure paves the way for Gibson at LUHC
Nick Brothers was not the only retiree of the EHL this past seasonal transition and Ali McGregor of Scotland and GB fame has also left the league. This leaves the way for Harry Gibson, with the former England U18 star taking the reins at Loughborough. This makes Gibson the youngest starting goalkeeper in the national league, reflecting the wide trust clubs seem to have in recognising young talent between the sticks. Although Loughborough have got off to a shaky start, it will be invaluable experience for Gibson as he climbs the ladder of national talent and think he has the signs of going far.
