James Bailey from Bath joins Reading, creating an interesting prospect for the battle for the first team spot with Jamie Legg having waited his turn to take over from Nick Brothers. Bailey matured from his experience at the Junior World cup and could gain important experience at the Euro Hockey League if successful in winning the starting spot.
Forgot to mention the return of the charismatic Alex Chapman to the national league, signing for Teddington, having played for Oxted four years ago and doing well to help in their promotion bid at the time. Dan Derby rejoins Beeston from Belper and Jack Egerton signs at East Grinstead as the reserve.
