With Jessulat called up to the German outdoor squad in the World Hockey League last month, getting some playing time in the tournament, competing with current first choice Jacobi (with double Olympic gold medallion Weinhold being phased out of the international set-up to make way for new blood), Felix Reuss has been in action in international indoor hockey in the recent Euro competition. Jessulat is obviously a strong goalkeeper in indoor, with a style that is very mobile, confident and aggressive, best suited to this format, and is capable of quite the many saves! As seen via here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlxqBHEwuPo
But the German selectors obviously want to see how he can cope with the pressures of the outdoor game as they look to decide who to take as first and second choice as they build up to Rio, now almost half way through the Olympic calendar. So with Reuss still featuring in their decision making, he was given the chance to try his hand at international indoor goalkeeping, with experience in indoor with his club side at home in Germany.
And he did a good job at that, impressing coaches and commentators alike, doing so well he managed to earn the award for best goalie.
