Whilst a lot of the games have been close efforts with no obvious distinction between times and no clear cut dominant force say like Italy/Spain/Germany will be in the footie over the summer, a couple of goalkeepers have caught the eye so to speak of fans and analysts alike with their goalkeeping performances. On day 3 of the tournament France's Edgar Reynaud was awarded Man of the Match after a sparkling display for his team against Argentina. Pereira was also given the award, having excelled in his match against India on day 2 with strong levels of awareness and athleticism to make some tough consecutive stops whilst on the move against India's forward line; shown in the photo regarding him wearing the new Obo chest pad.
